Personal Object Squares

Our 7th Graders have been working diligently on their personal object projects. Students were challenged to create 4 drawings with images inside that are important to them and/or represent them. See if you can guess any of our featured artists based on their work!

Artists of the Week

Prepping our Artists of the Week board . . . Process art rocks!

This Is Us

Welcome to another ARTmazing school year in Milford and Veazie! Here are some beautiful monochromatic self-portraits created by K-8 students. They got up on the bulletin boards in time for BOTH Open Houses! Nice job young artists for working hard to get these done.

Fairy Houses

One of my favorite projects from this spring: Grade 5 Fairy Houses! These beautiful sculptural pieces have had countless hours and materials put in. They did an amazing job creating these large, natural buildings. Astounding job Mr. Smith's and Mrs. Young's class!

Check out our third grade Laurel Burch painted cat faces. They are quite unique and students had a humorous take on the project!

Artists of the Week 3/5-3/10

Congratulations to our first round of Artists of the Week! These artists showed helpfulness, creativity, good listening skills, neatness, and created some great works of art our first week back from break as we finished up DMA artwork and began some developmentally appropriate art projects. Keep up the good work, ladies and gentlemen!

Zebra Z's

Some of Pre-K's finest zebra letter z's from last Thursday.

Trees

Here are some of the beautiful works of abstract trees from Mrs. Murphy's first grade we completed last week for the Display My Art project!

Great work, first graders! Also our ship out date for artwork for the fundraiser has been changed to Wednesday, March 1st, which gives us a few extra days to create more nice work.

Display My Art

I am sending home information about myself and about the Display My Art fundraiser we have been working on! These need to be in THIS WEEK, as they will be sent to the company for scanning shortly before or during break. My art students will be working diligently to finish theirs in class this week and families are encouraged to send any that they created in to the office to be sent out with our materials. Be creative. Make it bright, simple, and fill the page! I can't wait to see what our families come up with.

You can get more information directly from the fundraiser website at: http://displaymyart.com

New Space

I accepted a job as the Art Teacher at the Dr. Lewis S. Libby School in Milford, Maine! Today was my first day shadowing/team-teaching with the lovely Mrs. Voyer. I got to work with 7th, 6th, and 2nd graders finishing up some transitional art projects. My gears are spinning for all of the exciting lessons that I can create and use with my students. Here is my new, very own art classroom!
